Job Title: Asphalter – Downer road works Bathurst

Location: Bathurst region, New South Wales

Worksite: On-site in Bathurst region; travel and overtime may be required as well as weekends

The Role:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Asphalter to join our road surfacing crew in the Bathurst NSW area. In this role you’ll play a key part in delivering high

quality asphalt works on major road maintenance and construction projects. You will work with a team of professionals committed to safety, quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and support asphalt surfacing operations: placing, raking, compacting asphalt on road surfaces

• Use plant and equipment such as pavers, rollers (steel or multi-rollers), and rakes
• Perform resurfacing, patching, overlays and new surfacing works
• Ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards and safety requirements
• Work effectively as part of a crew, following instructions from supervisors and coordinating with other trades
• Maintain a strong zero-harm safety culture, including correct use of PPE, hazard reporting and working within traffic-management controls
• Travel to and from project sites, and sometimes work outside normal hours (early starts, overtime, weekend work) as required

Essential Criteria:

• Construction Induction (White Card)
• Proven asphalt surfacing experience (road construction / maintenance)
• Ability to operate or assist with asphalt machinery (rollers, paver, screed, rake)
• Strong team-orientation, reliable work ethic and a commitment to quality and safety
• Willingness to travel in the region and work away from home when required
• A clean driver licence and proven safe driving record
